Well... Box Press Publishing had its (limited) debut at the Baltimore Comic-Con, Sept 8-9. While the total attendance for the show was nowhere near what the organizers had expected, we still received a warm reception from those souls with enough of a sense of adventure and foresight to drop by the tables and pick up our special editions. As I have promised to those who have been oh-so-patiently awaiting their commissioned artwork, sketch covers, and sketch cards, I am now working solely on finishing those pieces. As an extremely heart-felt "thank you" to the commissioners for bearing with the postponement of their finished requests so tha

We are fast approaching the Baltimore Comic-Con (Sept 8-9, 2012) where Box Press Publishing will be making its (limited and exclusive) debut. In attendance from the Box Press team will be Sky Owens (co-owner and associate publisher of Box Press - not to mention a 31 year artistic veteran of the comic industry with work on "Batman: The Animated Series", "New Gods", "Gammarauders", "Animal Man", "All-Star Squadron", and many other projects), Dan Parsons (Star Wars:  Knight of the Old Republic / Legacy / Jedi / Republic / Clone Wars), Ken Hunt (LoveGun, Godsend), Meghan Hetrick (numerous Marvel sketch / trading card sets), and (possib

Jamal Igle is trying (via Kickstarter) to raise another $9,000.00 in the next three days for a creator-owned comic book project aimed at empowering (every pun intended) young female readers. His project, "Molly Danger", features the worlds most-powerful 10 year-old girl as the main character. He has, thus far, raised $36,000.00 of his $45,000.00 goal but, in concert with Kickstarter's 'all-or-nothing' fundraising requirements, if he cannot raise the remaining amount in the three-day time period, he will receive none of the, thus far promised, funds for his efforts. Help support independent comics by checking out his project specifications a

Any progress on my 2  commissions from 2012?  Darkchylde (majik) and Psylocke.  I have the original paypal payments made as well as original emails.  Aloha from Hawaii....Mark
Hi Larry,

I was wondering how the commissions are coming.  I have the original emails if you need them.  Let me know.  Thanks.
Odd that you would ask...

I'm actually trying to get addresses for those commissioners whose pieces are currently completed (I'm only about halfway through the list of commissions, sadly - BUT my reason for being so far behind is pretty friggin' incredible...one of my comic projects, 'Wormwood Rising', was optioned for a big-budget, summer-release (not this summer, though - lol), full-length motion picture and I've been slammed with all the work I've had to do for both it and the one currently being filmed called 'Declassified' (which is not one of my projects but has to be finished before the director can move on to my project).

Anyway, I've taken a block of leave from the film work to try and finish up these dreadfully late sketch card commissions, blank cover commissions, and even another 11"x17" commission piece as well before I have to get crackin' again on the film work.

If you've got old emails, that'd be a HUGE help!

Many thanks - and all the best.

Thank you...really.  Thanks.
Sure thing! Hope you enjoyed your day.
