Okay - this piece is not, in any way/shape/form, a piece of my artwork.
The character is mine, the story is mine, but that's it here. Period. The artwork is a combination of Nat Jones (pencils), and Christian Lichtner - aka LIQUID! - (digital painting). This, not to put too fine a point on it, f'in rocks. I was fortunte enough to win a contest that LIQUID! was sponsoring here on deviantart. As that means he did this out of a sense of fun and fairplay and not because he was being paid for it, I simply want to point out that this was not a business transaction (which makes me all the more fortunate to have this opportunity). Sadly, as beautiful as this is, it will not see print in any format. LIQUID! is under exclusive contract with Marvel at this time (we all should be so fortunate), and, as such, this will remain an unprinted piece into perpetuity. So be it. I feel no less fortunate to have been chosen as the recipient of his great talent. I hope everyone is as happy with the results as I am. I keep setting tentative dates for the book's release and I keep having to revise those same timetables. I would love to have the first issue in my hands at this very moment, but it is much more important to me to make sure that, when the book hits the shelves, there is no gap inbetween issues. As such, we are currently four complete issues "to the good". We're getting there. Much more "A Hollow Man" artwork can be viewed both in my gallery here on devart and the gallery at [link] where you will also find a forum, news and updates, creator bios, industry-related links, and much much more. I hope everyone will keep a lookout for the book when we finally do solicit (wheher that be self-published or through an already-established publishing house remains to be seen). If this sounds like something you may be interested in: spread the word. Remember, independent comics need very bit of your support. |

Besides, printed or not, it's still a helluva treat to see it.
Friggin' 'beautiful' (you know, if 'beautiful' is a term that can be applied to an illustration of a psychopathic serial murderer who's always "getting his mean on".
