Description
Original, hand-drawn sketch card originally done for Cryptozoic's 'AMC's: The Walking Dead' sketch & trading card set.
AMC thought the 20 cards I did were too "comic-booky" for their vision of what the set should be comprised of, so none of these will actually be placed in packs.
However, I will be receiving compensation for the work despite the fact that the work will not be used. I think this is a commendable action on the part of Cryptozoic, but necessary considering the fact that AMC failed to mention that comic-style illustrations were not acceptable for this set...which, I know confused me...I mean, if you contract with a plumber, you expect the water to run, right?
So...if you contract with a comic artist...
Oh, well.
I actually had a blast doing these cards and I think they turned out great - wish they were going to be seen and enjoyed by their intended audience.
2.5" x 3.5" image area (infringed upon, massively, by the title at the bottom).
Inked with Micron Pigma artist pens (.005 size) and Sharpie - addition of 'red' coloration (where applicable) through use of a Berol Prismacolor brush-tip marker.
Half-ass title: "Heart In Hand"
